Rome is dodgy as fuck at night around the station. Gangs of Africans and migrants loitering. For general liveability (is that a word?) its hard to compare London and Rome, one's much bigger and more spread-out than the other, plus getting around Rome is a pain in the arse cos of traffic and probably the worst metro system on the planet.
Love Italy but Rome is a hard sell outside the historical sites, imo

Lecce
The three most beautiful and amazing cities I’ve been to.

I grew up in London but I’d choose Rome anyway.
London is (mostly) a dump. That’s why I moved out.

The difference being of course despite all of London’s faults it’s where i grew up,and as far back as I know all my forefathers hailed from on my dad’s side.
I’ll always consider London as my home town.its a billion times better than fucking Rome which is tiny by comparison.

Still , I can never quite understand why people go to cities and then seem surprised when they're shit. You wouldn't go to Manchester, Birmingham or Leeds for a weekend away, you'd go to Devon, Cornwall, the Lake District or something. Baffling.

Before you attempt to get remotely poised for an argument also had the misfortune to ge to Naples.shithole end of.
Been to Florence which was slightly better until of course the bill in a restaurant appears three times more than locals pay.
When questioned the rip off cunts get nasty.
After visiting three major cities in Italy,i won’t be returning to the shithole.

Been to Rome,obviously impressive ancient architecture but the grubs the same four pasta dishes everywhere.some acceptable but very overrated.
Further afield restaurants serve traditional pesant fodder.all kinds of offal which I’m alright with better than creamy pasta crap.and yes fucking snails in loads of gaffs.
Found the older romans nice but the city in general is a money trap.fucking ponces everywhere trying to rip off tourists with a single rose just ended up tedious with everyone attempting to riinse tourists dry.
Won’t be going near Italy again,shit airports,dirty taxis,shit cunt bottle job people.
Fucking dump.
Stick to what I know Spain.
